Nieuwe woorden komen in de volgorde van hoe vaak ze in het Portugees voorkomen, de meest gebruikte eerst.

Elk woord heeft zijn eigen tijd tot de volgende herhaling. Die tijd wordt langer elke keer dat je het goed hebt en gaat terug naar één dag als je het fout hebt. Elk woord wordt in beide richtingen gevraagd, en elke richting heeft een eigen schema.
Hoe snel je antwoordt, telt mee
Een woord waarop je meteen antwoordt, krijgt een langere pauze dan een woord waarbij je twijfelt, ook al had je beide goed. Twijfelen is het teken dat je een woord nog niet zeker kent.
