You know enough to get by, but a real book in your language still feels like work. I’m gathering a small group of intermediate learners to read a little every day for three months and see how far it gets us. Premium is on me.
Free. Application-based. I reply within 48 hours.
The question is simple: can reading alone get you past the plateau? Here’s how we find out together.
The habit is the point, not the word count. Set a daily goal you can actually keep, even five minutes, and read on as many days as you can.
In a short self-assessment, you read a passage from the same book and mark the words you didn’t know and whether it landed. As the book stays the same, you watch the gaps close.
You let me know what’s broken and what would make reading easier, and share your thoughts on the new designs. Your feedback goes straight into the changes I’m making.
You join a small private group and talk with me and with each other. It’s where the real conversations happen and where you get a first look at what’s coming.
It’s free, but it asks for real time. The data only works if everyone stays active, so if you go quiet I may give your spot to someone else. If you can’t commit right now, this isn’t the right round for you, and that’s okay.
A reading-first language app. Instead of lessons and exercises, you read real books in your language, from short stories to full novels.
As you read, the words you don’t know are right there in front of you. Tap any one to see what it means, then save it. Your saved words turn into flashcards you review, so they stick.
The more you read, the more words you pick up, and the faster and easier reading becomes. That loop is how you get past the plateau.

Read real books in your language.
Hi, I’m Marco. I’m the founder, and the only person working on Simply Fluent.
I started building it in 2018 because nothing out there was made for reading in a new language. I believe you learn a language by reading things you care about, on your own terms, with tools that serve you rather than the other way around. And one day I want Simply Fluent to open doors to books that have never been translated.
For a long time I kept myself separate from the app to protect my privacy, and I’ve come to see that it only built a wall between me and the people using it. I’m taking that wall down. I’m rebuilding Simply Fluent, and I want to do it with you, not just for you.

You’re a reader I’m learning from, not a test subject. The free language learning is my thank-you for being in it.
You’re in the study early, telling me what helps you read and what gets in the way. What you say goes straight into the app.
Read a real book in your language and feel it getting easier, month by month.
I get honest feedback from real learners. You get the time and the tools to read your way forward.
It’s not for absolute beginners (I’m honest about that) and it’s not for applying and then disappearing. If you’re going to show up, I’d love to have you.
I read every application. I’ll get back to you within 48 hours.
