रूसी में जो शब्द आपको सबसे ज़्यादा दिखेंगे, उनसे शुरू कीजिए और उन्हें फ़्लैशकार्ड से दोहराइए।

हर शब्द का अपना समय-क्रम है

हर शब्द के अगले दोहराव का अपना समय होता है। शब्द सही बताने पर यह समय बढ़ता जाता है, और चूक जाने पर एक दिन पर लौट आता है। हर शब्द दोनों दिशाओं में पूछा जाता है, और हर दिशा का अपना समय-क्रम है।

आप कितनी जल्दी जवाब देते हैं, यह भी गिना जाता है

जिस शब्द का जवाब आप तुरंत देते हैं, उसका अगला दोहराव उस शब्द से ज़्यादा दूर रखा जाता है जिस पर आप झिझके, भले ही दोनों सही रहे हों। झिझक इस बात का संकेत है कि शब्द अभी पक्का नहीं हुआ।
